The Project
The 9 Acre Revival Project is a three-year initiative born from a personal commitment to transform a cherished family legacy. While the project is titled “9 Acre Revival,” this reflects its initial broader scope, which unfortunately included an additional 2.5-acre orchard farm for which the agreement did not proceed as planned. At its core now lies 7.19 acres of sacred palm oil land, currently under-managed, which has been a source of ongoing concern for the family’s Matriarch, my grandmother. Her worries extend not only to the equitable division of this land among her children but also to her desire to contribute more effectively to the family’s overall well-being and assets, such as through the restoration and upkeep of their beloved village home, a central family gathering place. To address these concerns comprehensively, I’ve entered into a professional tenancy agreement for the land for a three-year period. During this time, my mission is to rebrand and manage the property with a focus on its legal clarity and business viability. By establishing a robust and transparent framework over these three years, the project aims to provide the family with a clear and strong foundation, empowering them to make informed decisions about the land’s future.

Our Mission
The 9 Acre Revival Project is a personal mission to transform a cherished family legacy – 7.19 acres of palm oil land – into a sustainable, transparent, and equitably managed system. This initiative addresses the complexities of managing hereditary land to ensure its long-term viability and provide a clear framework for future generations.
Over the next three years, our focus is on achieving critical foundational goals that will secure the land’s future and benefit all stakeholders:
- 1. Legal Clarity & Documentation: Systematically understanding the hereditary land from a legal perspective and securing all necessary, accurate documentation. This involves navigating complex grants, titles, and legal frameworks to establish undeniable clarity.
- 2. Physical Boundary Remarking: Precisely remarking and documenting the physical boundaries of the land lots. This ensures clear demarcation, preventing future disputes and provides a solid foundation for any operational or divisional planning.
- 3. Sustainable Business Model Development: Thoroughly understanding and establishing a viable business model for the land, particularly for the Potentially High-Yielding Palm Oil Land. This includes analyzing operational efficiencies, market potential, and long-term sustainability.
- 4. Laying the Foundation for a Clear Inheritance System: To establish comprehensive documentation and a transparent framework that will enable the family to make informed decisions regarding the land’s future, including its potential management or transfer as part of a clear and equitable inheritance system. This objective aims to ease the Matriarch’s worries by providing a clear, navigable path for fair allocation and stewardship among all her children.
My Role: Personal Mission and Methodology
Beyond these tangible project milestones, my personal objectives driving this commitment are equally vital:
- Easing Worry: To alleviate the Matriarch’s worries and provide her peace of mind regarding the future of this cherished family asset.
- Purposeful Investment: To utilize my personal savings in a meaningful and productive path, applying system engineering methodology to a real-world, impactful challenge.
- Gaining Expertise: To gain invaluable first-hand understanding and practical experience in the intricacies of agricultural business models and remote operational management.
- Bonus, Not Primary Objective: Any profit generated from the palm oil within this 3-year period would be a welcome bonus, but it’s not the primary objective of this project. My core focus remains on establishing a clear, equitable, and sustainable system that honors the land’s legacy and benefits the wider family.
Ultimately, the 9 Acre Revival Project is about stewardship, sustainability, and securing a clear, equitable future for our family’s most cherished asset.
