A journey of land, family and renewal.
This is a long-form personal record of managing and breathing new life into nine acres of family land. It began not with a grand vision, but with a question — what do we do with this land, and what does this land mean to us?
Every post in this journal is a chapter: the people encountered, the decisions made, the bureaucracy navigated, the soil turned, the arguments over heritage and the quiet moments of understanding what it means to be a steward of place.
This is not a farming manual or a sustainability report. It is a personal story — told honestly, including the missteps — of a family working out its relationship with land, one conversation and one season at a time.

The Land
Nine acres of family land — with all the history, challenge and potential that implies.
The Family
Inheritance, conversation, disagreement and, eventually, shared purpose.
The Legacy
What was passed down, and what will be passed forward both question and responsibility.
The Vision
Not yet complete. Still being written, acre by acre, season by season.

Sustainable Agriculture
Working with the land’s natural rhythms — practical approaches rooted in what nine acres can actually support.

Land Stewardship
Understanding the soil, the water, and what grows and what refuses to. Knowledge built one season at a time.

Long-Term Planning
The decisions made today define what the land will be in ten years. Slow, considered choices over quick returns.
